2-Round 2022 NFL Mock Draft: Vikings Go QB, Ravens Get Jordan Davis
31. Cincinnati Bengals: Zion Johnson, OL, Boston College
The Cincinnati Bengals will need to have a few breaks go their way to reach the Super Bowl in a crowded AFC in 2022, and it starts up front with the offensive line. No matter how it’s addressed, the unit as a whole must improve. In this 2022 NFL Mock Draft, they get a phenomenal interior player in Zion Johnson.
Johnson has a serious argument to be the top interior player in the 2022 NFL Draft. After playing tackle in 2020, he looked phenomenal moving inside in 2021. His grip strength and anchor in pass protection is excellent, and he’s great at getting to the second level in a hurry as a run blocker. Joe Burrow will love to have Johnson protecting him up front.
32. Detroit Lions (via LAR): Jahan Dotson, WR, Penn State
The Lions finish off the first round here, and a receiver needs to be the focus for this team in the offseason. In this 2022 NFL Mock Draft, they can a great number two guy in Jahan Dotson. Dotson plays way bigger than his size, and he has strong hands and an ability to make plays outside of his frame. He’s explosive out of his breaks and destroys corners on double moves. Dotson and Amon-Ra St. Brown are a great start to the receiving core.
