29. Miami Dolphins (via SF): Nakobe Dean, LB, Georgia

The Miami Dolphins have an overhaul to do on the offensive side of the ball in 2022. They have to fix the offensive line, but since they struggle to evaluate talent in the draft, free agency might be best to find those upgrades. Getting a bell cow running back makes sense, along with finding a good complementary receiver to Jaylen Waddle.

The linebacker room looks a little barren, and that’s the move in this 2022 NFL Mock Draft. Nakobe Dean may get knocked for his height a bit, but that’ll be a mistake, and the value here is excellent for Miami. Dean’s range, instincts, and ability to blitz make him a great fit on the Miami defense.

30. Kansas City Chiefs: Daxton Hill, S, Michigan

The Kansas City Chiefs have a couple things to take care of in free agency. One of the biggest questions will surround Tyrann Mathieu. If he returns, the Chiefs likely go elsewhere in this 2022 NFL Mock Draft, but for now safety is the move here at 30.

Daxton Hill can do so many things in a defense. He can cover from the slot, work in a single high or deep half look, and can work over the middle in a “robber” role. His versatility, combined with impressive ball skills, make him a slam dunk selection on a defense that needs more coverage help.
