27. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Kaiir Elam, CB, Florida

Losing Tom Brady is a massive blow to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who still definitely had a winning window with him as the starter. It’ll be interesting to see who the Buccaneers bring back in free agency, whether it be Chris Godwin, Carlton Davis, or Ryan Jensen. If Davis isn’t brought back, which feels like a mistake, corner is the obvious route, and that’s the one in this 2022 NFL Mock Draft.

Kaiir Elam is getting overlooked at the cornerback position, and he has the potential to be the best of the 2022 NFL Draft class when all is said and done. He’s a tall, long corner with great transitions and a penchant for finding the ball at the catch point. Elam does a great job in press man coverage.

28. Green Bay Packers: Drake Jackson, EDGE, USC

The Green Bay Packers could get Preston Smith back for 2022, but that might not deter them from selecting an edge rusher in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft, especially in a deep class. Drake Jackson will turn 21 in April, and could have his best football ahead of him in the NFL. Jackson is a great speed rusher who can turn the corner, but needs to put on some weight and add to his power profile to be a three down player in the NFL.
