23. Arizona Cardinals: George Karlaftis, EDGE, Purdue

It’s already been a wild offseason for the Arizona Cardinals, who have extended Steve Keim and Kliff Kingsbury through 2027 while apparently struggling to keep Kyler Murray happy. Things will get even more difficult in 2022 without Chandler Jones, who is expected to leave in free agency. In this 2022 NFL Mock Draft, the Cardinals get his replacement on the edge.

George Karlaftis seems to be the forgotten man in terms of first round edge rushers, and it might be because of the lack of bend and explosiveness. Even without that, Karlaftis is strong at contact, has great counters, and is a technician who can get off tackles and pressure the quarterback. He can be effective on all three downs in year one.

24. Dallas Cowboys: Devonte Wyatt, DL, Georgia

What do the Dallas Cowboys do? With rumors swirling of potentially releasing both Amari Cooper and DeMarcus Lawrence, this is a group that could potentially need impact rushers and another weapon in the passing game.

Devonte Wyatt would make the front seven downright nonsensical. Wyatt is a true three technique with wicked twitch to cross the face of offensive linemen, and he has great moves as a rusher to attack gaps. Wyatt would free up Micah Parsons to do more work on the edge and frustrate opposing offenses.
