2-Round 2022 NFL Mock Draft: Vikings Go QB, Ravens Get Jordan Davis
19. Philadelphia Eagles: Andrew Booth Jr., CB, Clemson
The Philadelphia Eagles are back up in this 2022 NFL Mock Draft, finishing things up with their last of three first round selections. It’s clear that the secondary needs an upgrade, especially opposite Darius Slay. They get a stud here in Clemson’s Andrew Booth.
Booth didn’t end up testing because of a recent injury, but the athleticism shows up heavily on tape. His transitions are fluid, and he can click and close very well from off-coverage. Booth is a great tackler in the run game and can get through blocks to make plays. His ball skills are his best trait, and the in-air athleticism is special.
20. Pittsburgh Steelers: Trevor Penning, OT, Northern Iowa
However things work out in free agency for the Pittsburgh Steelers, the offensive line will likely still need a couple draft picks to join the party in 2022. They could go Tyler Linderbaum here, but it’s unlike Pittsburgh to give up on someone like Kendrick Green, even after an awful season.
Tackle is the next best option, and Trevor Penning is the pick in this 2022 NFL Mock Draft. Penning brings a nasty streak that will help out the running game, and he will give edge rushers a tough time when he gets latched on. He could be a force at either tackle spot for a long time.
