Pick Analysis. WR. Chris Olave. 13. player. Scouting Report. Ohio State. 53

It might be a little shocking to see Chris Olave here in this 2022 NFL Mock Draft, rather than his Ohio State teammate Garrett Wilson. There is growing momentum around Olave’s ascension up the ranks. It shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise, because Olave was one of the focal points of the sensational offense regularly on display during his time in Columbus.

Olave never reached the 1,000-yard mark in a season, but he eclipsed 700+ in each of his three seasons as a full-time starter. He also recorded 32 touchdowns in that span, showing that his ability to separate translates to the red zone. Thus, further supporting his argument as an all-around threat.

The Browns shipped off Odell Beckham Jr. to Los Angeles and watched him help lift the Rams to a Super Bowl title. The hits are likely still coming as Jarvis Landry has been vocal about his displeasure with the franchise, leading many to believe his days in Cleveland are numbered. Olave will bring his polished route running to the Browns, giving quarterback Baker Mayfield a go-to target from day one.

Michigan. 14. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. EDGE. David Ojabo. player. 26

David Ojabo to the Ravens is one of my favorite fits in this entire article. Ojabo spent his early childhood in Nigeria, and most of his teenage years in Scotland before eventually coming over to America. His initial reason for making the trek across the pond was to pursue his first love: soccer.

Ojabo was eventually persuaded to try out for American football and this is where he met his eventual role model — and 2021 first-round pick — Odafe Oweh. Like Ojabo, Oweh took an unconventional route to football, as he was also late to the sport and to the US in general.

Another reason I love the fit is because Ojabo spent time learning from Jim Harbaugh at Michigan, and now will be given the opportunity to shine for the other Harbaugh brother — Ravens head coach John. Ojabo will have to improve his ability in run support, but he will bring a presence off the edge from the jump. The thought of Ojabo and his idol out there chasing down the quarterback brings a smile to my face.
