Los Angeles Rams 7-Round 2022 Mock Draft: Super Bowl Champs Reload
Round 5, 174th Overall: Micah McFadden, LB, Indiana
The Los Angeles Rams are a unit that doesn’t place a massive amount of value on the linebacker position, but they do throw picks at it in hopes to land great role players. The 2022 NFL Draft should be no different, especially with Troy Reeder potentially leaving via free agency.
The linebacker class has some gems on day three, and Micah McFadden could be one of them. The Indiana linebacker has been impressive blitzing the quarterback, whether it be from the off-ball linebacker spot or on the edge. He’s a good tackler with good instincts and closing speed when working downhill to defend the run.
Round 6, 209th Overall: William Dunkle, OL, San Diego State
We’ve mentioned that Brian Allen is a free agent, but so are Joesph Noteboom and Austin Corbett. There are still quite a few names from the past two draft classes on the roster to fill in, but when the needs are few, why not invest more at an important position to keep Stafford upright?
William Dunkle will be a favorite for zone-running teams. The San Diego State lineman has been a road grader in the run game at right guard, and has the quicks and ability to reach block and seal to work upfield in zone looks. His motor is hot and his pass protection skills improved a lot last fall. This fit is a great one in the sixth round.
