2022 NFL Mock Draft: Broncos, Commanders Go QB, Chargers Get Top WR
2022 NFL Mock Draft: Picks 13-16
13. Cleveland Browns: George Karlaftis, EDGE, Purdue
The Cleveland Browns do have an obvious need at wide receiver, but they change it up in this 2022 NFL Mock Draft. The defensive line is a unit that could lose multiple players in the offseason, and consistently getting pressure is important. George Karlaftis is seeing his 2022 NFL Draft stock plummet a bit for some reason, but he’s a very good athlete, a great technician to flatten his angle to the quarterback, good closing speed, and a great motor.
14. Baltimore Ravens: Tyler Linderbaum, C, Iowa
The Baltimore Ravens do need to reinforce the offensive line this offseason, and while Bradley Bozeman could be re-signed, they may use their cap space elsewhere. This opens the door for them to select Tyler Linderbaum at 14. Linderbaum is a bit undersized for the typical offensive lineman in Baltimore, but his toughness, quicks, explosion, and vision as a space blocker make him a good fit in a run-heavy offense.
15. Philadelphia Eagles (via MIA): Jermaine Johnson II, EDGE, Florida State
The Philadelphia Eagles staying pat gives them a chance to select three great 2022 NFL Draft prospects, the first of which is here at 15. Jermaine Johnson II was the big winner down at the Senior Bowl, and his stock should skyrocket now. Johnson converts speed to power well and is a great run defender. Him and Josh Sweat will be a great duo getting after the quarterback.
16. Philadelphia Eagles (via IND): Trent McDuffie, CB, Washington
Darius Slay can’t be the top corner forever in Philly, and in a deep cornerback class, it’s time to pull the trigger in this 2022 NFL Mock Draft. Trent McDuffie is a great cover corner who doubles as a run support maestro. He has a hot motor and the ball skills to boot.
