2022 NFL Mock Draft: Broncos, Commanders Go QB, Chargers Get Top WR
The Broncos and Lions get quarterbacks, the Chargers go WR, and the Bengals address the offensive line in this fresh 2022 NFL Mock Draft.
Welcome to the 2022 offseason. It’s going to be rough without football for over six months, but we were treated to a phenomenal postseason, capped with Super Bowl LVI on Sunday. The Bengals and Rams met for a duel in Sofi Stadium, marking the second straight time the host city had its team in the big game.
The Rams built a lead early on two Matthew Stafford touchdown passes, but the Bengals rallied with a strong start to the third quarter. Joe Burrow found Tee Higgins downfield for a 75-yard touchdown, and a tip drill interception led to another field goal and a 20-13 lead.
The defenses took over in the second half, with the Rams getting pressure on Burrow in the form of stunts and Aaron Donald dominance, while the Rams struggled to find someone in the passing game with Odell Beckham Jr. exiting due to injury.
Still, the defense held up, and a late, long drive from the Rams resulted in Stafford and Cooper Kupp stepping up when needed most, and the two connected for a touchdown with little time remaining. An odd call on short yardage set up a fourth down at midfield, and a Donald pressure forced an incompletion to secure a Rams victory.
