Round 5, Pick 154: Jelani Woods, TE, Virginia

Pick Analysis. Jelani Woods. 5. 888. Scouting Report. TE. Virginia. player

As we get deeper into this 2022 NFL Mock Draft there’s going to be more risky selections. Picks with upside rather than stats. Jelani Woods is one of those picks. Originally a wide receiver at Oklahoma State, Woods transferred to Virginia to be a tight end for the 2021 season and showed out.

With Virginia, Woods became a huge target at 6-foot-7 275. Playing in 11 games, he totaled eight touchdowns for the Cavaliers with just shy of 600 receiving yards. The Browns use two tight ends sets frequently and will need depth there, especially if David Njoku or Austin Hooper don’t return one way or the other. Woods might be raw at the position, but there’s been flashes and the size is hard to ignore.

Round 6, Pick 191: Jean Delance, OL, Florida

Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Florida. Jean Delance. 840. OL. 6. player

It’s not often that you get through an NFL Draft and there’s a team that doesn’t take an offensive lineman. Depth is a must and getting cheap rookie contracts to fill those roles is huge. While the Browns have shown depth, they still should consider a late-round lineman.

In this 2022 NFL Mock Draft, the Cleveland Browns opt to go with Jean Delance out of Florida. A tackle by trade, Delance might be more of a guard at the NFL level. He’s best against the pass, so he’ll need to clean up his running blocking to fit this scheme. However, like any sixth round pick, he has potential and that’s why he goes here.
