NFL: Predicting the week one starting quarterback for all 32 teams

Los Angeles Rams: Matthew Stafford
The Matthew Stafford Experiment in Los Angeles is working and there’s still at least one more year of it left. The Rams went all-in when they broke the NFL a little over a year ago by acquiring Matthew Stafford from the Detroit Lions in a blockbuster deal. Now, they are going to the Super Bowl.
The LA Rams will have some decisions to make this coming offseason, but Stafford is one player they shouldn’t have to think twice about. The ability has always been there, the situation just hasn’t been right. Now that he’s on a solid team with weapons around him, Stafford is shining the way many knew he always could.
Odds are, Stafford is only going to be better next year with the Rams. He will have another offseason to learn the offense and increase chemistry with the players around him. During the regular season he attempted the most passes for him since 2014, accumulated the most yards since 2012 and matched his career-high for touchdowns in a season with 41, a number he last hit in 2011.
The downside is that Stafford led the NFC in interceptions with 17, the most for him since 2013. Regardless, Stafford has revived his career in Los Angeles and should continue to do so next season.
