Baltimore Ravens 7-Round 2022 Mock Draft: Defense, Trenches Aplenty

The Baltimore Ravens will get plenty of players back for a 2022 run, but they could use some upgrades to the cupboard in the trenches and on defense.

The 2021 season was one for the Baltimore Ravens that had them (literally) limping to the finish line. Losing running backs J.K. Dobbins and Gus Edwards before the season began was rough, and the stopgap solutions just didn’t pan out. Ronnie Stanley going down was a massive loss, and even Lamar Jackson was sidelined for a few games.

Things will hopefully be more normal in 2022 for the Ravens, and while they have a very good team returning to the field, there are some holes that need to be addressed. For one, there are several free agents along the defensive line, including Justin Houston, Brandon Williams, and Calais Campbell. The linebacking corps could get thinner, and Bradley Bozeman is set to be a free agent at the center spot.

Let’s not forget about the offensive line that, without Stanley, looked like turnstiles on the outside. Some Ravens fans are holding out hope for Ju’Wuan James, but he’s dealt with so many injuries in his career.

As we turn to the offseason, the Baltimore Ravens will have decisions to make in those areas. Who could they cut to free up more space to bring Bozeman back, along with (potentially) Anthony Averett. It’ll be interesting to monitor backup quarterback Tyler Huntley, who is a restricted free agent that the Ravens will probably like to keep.
