Round 6, 202nd Overall: Kyle Philips, WR, UCLA

The Tennessee Titans have two studs at wide receiver in A.J. Brown and Julio Jones, and it works just fine when they operate out of “12” personnel on offense. However, the Titans do still deploy some three wide receiver sets. They drafted Dez Fitzpatrick in the fourth round of the 2021, but getting a more dynamic playmaker makes sense in this Titans mock draft.

Kyle Philips absolutely lit up the Shrine Game last week, whooping corners with his footwork and route running skills. He’s a natural separator who could operate in the slot and make some plays after the catch.

Round 6, 218th Overall: James Skalski, LB, Clemson

The Titans could lose Rashaan Evans to free agency, and Jayon Brown is a free agent as well. Even if they hang on to Zach Cunningham, who they signed after the Texans cut him, Cunningham, David Long and Monty Rice might not be enough.

The Titans could end up going linebacker earlier, but adding depth feels like the right move. Clemson’s James Skalski is a throwback MIKE linebacker who plays a fearless brand of football. He’s a physical tackler who flies downhill with reckless abandon, and should be a phenomenal contributor on special teams early in his career. He’s a player that Mike Vrabel would like.
