Scouting Report. WR. 32. 50. Pick Analysis. USC. Drake London. player

With the second pick of this 2022 NFL Mock Draft, the Lions landed a much needed pass rusher in Aidan Hutchinson. Now they can close out the first round with a much needed offensive weapon.

The Lions could opt to go with a quarterback here, but Jared Goff showed he can be their guy. In 2021, Goff posted a career-best in completion percentage (67.2%) and had the fewest interceptions for him since the 2017 season. He’s earned another season without the pressure of a rookie behind him.

Instead, the Lions can continue to give him weapons and build a team around the quarterback rather than jump the gun trying to find one. Amon-Ra St. Brown and DeAndre Swift showcased their abilities this past season while T.J. Hockenson showed flashes. Detroit still needs another wide receiver.

Drake London, a 6-foot-5 wide receiver, would compliment the speed of St. Brown and Swift very well. He also caught 15 touchdowns over his time at USC, proving that he can be a weapon near the end zone. He also already played with St. Brown in college, so the two are proven compliments of each other. This would be a big step for the Detroit offense to land.
