The Miami Dolphins are in a similar boat to the Cardinals. They were able to see what their offense could do with a steady running game, but they couldn’t find a steady running back. With Kenneth Walker III now off the board, they’ll have to wait to find that answer. Instead, they look for a different playmaker in this 2022 NFL Mock Draft.

Tua Tagovailoa started to show signs of success late in the season and most of that came due to his chemistry with Jaylen Waddle. The only problem is there isn’t much beyond him. DeVante Parker struggled to stay healthy and even when he was on the field he didn’t have the impact that was anticipated from him. All of that combined could push the Dolphins to go wide receiver in the first.

Jameson Williams unfortunately tore his ACL during the national title game and that will drastically change his draft stock. If that injury doesn’t happen, he’s probably the first wide receiver taken. Now, he’ll most likely miss the 2022 season or at least a large portion of it.

Before the injury, Williams was one of the best wide receivers in college football. He totaled over 1,500 yards and had 15 touchdowns. We’ll see what form he returns to after the injury, that’s the risk here, but if he’s back to himself that could be huge for Miami. Having both Waddle and Williams would be dangerous.
