Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. RB. 32. Michigan State. Kenneth Walker III. 28. player

Alright, so the Arizona Cardinals traded down from 23 to 30 with the Kansas City Chiefs. Now they jump up to 28 with the Green Bay Packers to leapfrog the Miami Dolphins and grab their running back of the future in this 2022 NFL Mock Draft.

Arizona saw glimpses this year of what a productive run game could bring to their team. Both Chase Edmonds and James Conner saw success from the backfield, but both are set to become free agents and have battled injuries.

Kliff Kingsbury and company have repeatedly invested in offense in the draft and they could do it again here. Kenneth Walker III was impressive to say the least at Michigan State and his explosiveness could be a perfect fit for the Cardinals offense.

The one area that could hurt Walker’s chances in Arizona is the lack of passing game experience. The Cardinals like to throw the ball and Walker only caught 13 passes for 89 yards last season, both collegiate highs for him. If he can show at the Combine and Pro Day that he can catch the ball on top of his running skills, this would be a great pick. If not, then Arizona won’t be making this trade or picking Walker.
