22. Las Vegas Raiders: Devonte Wyatt, DL, Georgia

28. Georgia. 22. player. Devonte Wyatt. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. DT

The Las Vegas Raiders had one of the toughest roads during the 2021 season. From off the field issues with Jon Gruden to off the field issues with players, there were plenty of distractions around the organization. Still, the Raiders made the playoffs. Now, things could be changing.

Josh McDaniels was a big name hire for the Raiders, but he’ll most likely want to bring in his guys. That means it could be an eventful offseason in Vegas. One thing McDaniels will have to figure out regardless is the interior of the defensive line.

Both Johnathan Hankins and Quinton Jefferson were starters on this defense this past season and both are set to become free agents, as is depth addition Solomon Thomas and Gerald McCoy who was hurt this season. What it boils down to is that the Raiders need interior defensive linemen this offseason, mainly through the draft if possible.

Devonte Wyatt played on a juggernaut of a defensive line at Georgia with multiple pieces going earlier in the round. Wyatt was a disrupter on that line, tallying seven tackles for loss in 2021 along with 2.5 sacks. If the Raiders can add him to a new-look defensive line it would go a long way in getting Vegas to where McDaniels and company wants this team to be.
