Round 7, 229th Overall: Keontay Ingram, RB, USC

The Kansas City Chiefs have an offense that’s found itself again, at least in the first half of the AFC title game. However, there are still areas that can be fine-tuned to adjust consistently to what’s thrown at them. A part of that is the run game.

The Chiefs value juice and pass-catching ability at running back, and with Jerick McKinnon and Darrel Williams sitting as free agents, the 2022 NFL Draft presents an opportunity. Keontay Ingram is a talented runner on day three with the ability to affect the game on all three downs.

Round 7, 239th Overall: Joshua Williams, CB, Fayetteville State

A double dip at corner is absolutely the move in this Chiefs mock draft. After getting Taylor-Britt, Joshua Williams is the next to come on down. Williams has been a standout in Mobile with impressive size, physicality, and transitional quickness to play on the outside.

Round 7, 247th Overall: Samori Toure, WR, Nebraska

The receiver room still isn’t deep, so a double down makes sense at this position as well. Samouri Toure is an intriguing name with the size, natural hands, and ability to win on a vertical stem that will intrigue NFL teams later in the 2022 NFL Draft.

Round 7, 257th Overall: Thomas Booker, DL, Stanford

Rounding out the mock draft is some more help on the interior. Thomas Booker could make some headlines tonight in the Shrine Bowl game, as he has the initial quicks, power, and great vision against the run. He’s stout to hold the line and has great hand usage to gain leverage and shed blocks.
