Round 2, 62nd Overall: Alec Pierce, WR, Cincinnati

This Kansas City Chiefs mock rolls on here with a playmaker in the second round. It’s been great to see Mecole Hardman take a step this season in terms of reliability, and his usage grew as a result. It’s clear that the Chiefs want speed on that side of the ball, but it would be a good time to get some size there as well.

Alec Pierce is someone who would fit really well with the Chiefs on day two. He has the acceleration and long speed to be able to win deep, but possess good separation quickness at the line as well. Pierce also separates well at the catch point, high pointing the ball extremely well and possessing reliable hands to attack and secure the football.

Round 3, 94th Overall: Tyler Smith, OT, Tulsa

A deal needs to get done for the Chiefs to retain Orlando Brown at left tackle if they so desire. However, with the interior locked down, tackle remains the area that could use some potential depth.

Tyler Smith is a potential riser as the 2022 NFL Draft process gets underway. Smith plays with a physical edge at tackle, showing off impressive power, strong hands, and a very good anchor. He’s a prospect that will need some development in terms of some technique and footwork, but the upside is there to become a quality starter.
