Senior Bowl week is important for small school prospects, but equally as important for players jockeying to be an early pick. Teams love looking for value in middle rounds, but will be looking for bonafide franchise cornerstones during the opening day of the 2022 NFL Draft.

Since taking over as Executive Director of the Senior Bowl in 2019, Jim Nagy has consistently been able to bring loads of attention to the game down in Mobile, Alabama. After working in the NFL for 18 years as an NFL scout, his nose for talent has translated when assembling rosters for the annual game. This year promises more of the same. The game is fast approaching, as you can see in this tweet:

There is no shortage of talent, as both rosters feature many of the best draft eligible players available in 2022. Six of the top seven quarterbacks on my Big Board will be in attendance, plus over a dozen other players that will be in consideration in the first round.

2022 Senior Bowl: Prospects Who Can Solidify Draft Status

Prospects have been divided into two separate teams. The American team is coached by the Detroit Lions coaching staff, and the National team is going to be led by the New York Jets staff. Each team has a bevy of draft picks at their disposal in the upcoming draft and will get to spend invaluable time with some potential targets in the draft.

I have selected five prospects — three from the American team and two from the National team — that can solidify their status as a first-round pick at the Senior Bowl.
