Round 4, 123rd Overall: Zach Tom, OT, Wake Forest

It wouldn’t be a New England Patriots 2022 NFL Mock Draft without some investment along the offensive line, a position the Patriots continue to invest it throughout the draft. As we peek ahead once again to 2023 free agency, both Isaiah Wynn and Yodny Cajuste will be free agents then. Not to mention, Trent Brown could be gone this offseason. Justin Herron is someone the Patriots clearly like, but as we say, add more to the cupboard.

Zach Tom should be getting more hype than he is at this point in the draft process, but eventually we will get there. Tom has exceptionally quick feet and good skills in pass protection. The athletic traits are good, and he would be a dream for the coaches in New England to develop into a quality starter.

Round 6, 208th Overall: J.T. Woods, S/CB, Baylor

Could Devin McCourty be done with the Patriots after such a storied career? Maybe, but even beyond him, there are still questions in the secondary. Adrian Phillips and Kyle Dugger could be locked in as the starting safeties, but why not add some more depth?

J.T. Woods is a very intriguing player from Baylor. He played primarily at safety, but has the length and speed to potentially get some looks at corner as well. His ability to potentially play multiple spots in the secondary is a great thing for a defense looking to stop Mahomes, Allen, and more.
