17. Los Angeles Chargers: Jameson Williams, WR, Alabama

Hopefully the Los Angeles Chargers will join the playoff excitement in the AFC very soon, but it starts with major help in a few important areas. Going with the obvious in the front seven makes sense, but in this 2022 NFL Mock Draft, helping out Justin Herbert is the move. Mike Williams could hit free agency and they could use a speedster like Jameson Williams. His speed, catch radius, and double moves would help the downfield passing game.

18. New Orleans Saints: Trevor Penning, OT, Northern Iowa

The New Orleans Saints are in a cap nightmare once again this offseason, and that likely means Terron Armstead is one of the casualties. That opens up a hole at left tackle. The Saints fill it by selecting Trevor Penning, who is a strong player in both phases of the game.

19. Philadelphia Eagles: Andrew Booth Jr., CB, Clemson

The final of the three Eagles selections in this 2022 NFL Mock Draft is helping out the secondary. Darius Slay won’t be the top guy forever, and they get a great talent in Andrew Booth here. Booth has great transitional quickness, ball skills, and eye discipline to be an elite CB1 in the NFL.

20. Pittsburgh Steelers: Matt Corral, QB, Mississippi

It’s possible that the Pittsburgh Steelers stick with Mason Rudolph in 2022 and go quarterback next offseason while building up the roster in the 2022 NFL Draft. Instead, they bring in some competition in Matt Corral. Corral excels in the RPO game and has the mobility that the Steelers are looking for.
