5. New York Giants: David Ojabo, EDGE, Michigan

The New York Giants still have things to sort out after hiring Joe Schoen as their general manager. The first is whether or not they’ll roll with Daniel Jones as their quarterback in 2022. If they do, the trenches will likely be the first area to address. David Ojabo has incredible tools as a pass rusher and would fit great next to Azeez Ojulari.

6. Carolina Panthers: Kenny Pickett, QB, Pittsburgh

The Carolina Panthers are a true wild card in the 2022 NFL Draft, as they could do many things, including a move back for a team in need of a quarterback. In this 2022 NFL Mock Draft, though, they stand pat and select a quarterback themselves. Kenny Pickett had a great 2021 season and could be a winner down in Mobile next week. His poise, accuracy, and touch are a good combination.

7. New York Giants (via CHI): Tyler Linderbaum, C, Iowa

The Giants are back up in this 2022 NFL Mock Draft, and this time it’s to address the offensive line. They could go tackle, but locking down the center position is the move here. Tyler Linderbaum going this high would be a little wild, but his combination of space blocking, athleticism, processing skills, and toughness make for an offensive line cornerstone.

8. Atlanta Falcons: George Karlaftis, EDGE, Purdue

It would be hard for the Atlanta Falcons to not look at best player available, especially given where they’re at in terms of the interior offensive line and lack of talent on defense. Here, they finally get consistent help on the edge. George Karlaftis is an excellent player with the athleticism, power, and flexibility to thrive for the birds.
