Sunday marked a very disappointing end to the season for the Dallas Cowboys, so now the focus for them shifts to the offseason and the 2022 NFL draft.

As we all saw the Dallas Cowboys season came to an end on Sunday with a 23-17 loss to the San Francisco 49ers. The season as a whole can be summed up as a disappointment, as with a roster filled with stars fans rightfully expected more than a first round playoff exit.

The biggest question mark headed into the offseason for them is whether or not Mike McCarthy is capable of leading this team on a deep playoff run? This was a question all season long, but especially after Sunday’s loss.

It will be interesting to see whether they stick with McCarthy or not as there are certainly some strong head coaching candidates available this offseason including Brian Flores, Eric Bienemy, and Doug Peterson. If they can find the right coach they are a team with a lot of potential as there is a lot of talent on this roster.

A lot of that talent on the roster comes from recent drafts as they added Micah Parsons in the 2021 draft and CeeDee Lamb and Trevon Diggs in the 2020 draft. A big reason they were able to win 12 games this season is because of how well they’ve drafted and put their players in a position to succeed. The 2022 NFL Draft is another opportunity to add more talent to the roster.

So, without further ado let’s start this seven round Dallas Cowboys 2022 NFL mock draft, starting with their first round pick which will be at 24th overall.
