Round 3, 79th Overall: Skyy Moore, WR, Western Michigan

Don’t forget about wide receiver as a sneaky need for the Los Angeles Chargers. Plenty of dropped passes made things more difficult Sunday night and really throughout the season. Keenan Allen is still a reliable separator and chain mover, and Josh Palmer played some good ball in his rookie season.

The main question mark is Mike Williams. Will the Chargers bring him back? He’s been a sufficient deep threat and great catch point winner, but lacks some explosiveness to separate late down the field. Jalen Guyton is a RFA and is likely back as well, but there’s still something missing in the room.

Western Michigan’s Skyy Moore could bring the missing element. Moore is a bit of an undersized receiver in terms of playing on the outside, but he’s has the twitch and burst that this room needs. His ability to explode off the line of scrimmage into his stem is impressive, and he’s great at making the tough catches over the middle and in traffic.

Moore has the explosion and speed to be used as a deep threat and in the quick game to maximize touches and give him opportunities after the catch. He’s got some similar traits to Elijah Moore, who had a great rookie year with the Jets.
