7. New York Giants (via CHI): David Ojabo, EDGE, Michigan

Where do the Giants go next in this 2022 NFL Mock Draft? It could be center, but there can be more added to the pass rush. Azeez Ojulari played well in 2021, but more is better when rushing the quarterback. They get the big riser of the process so far in Michigan’s David Ojabo.

Ojabo only started playing football in 2017, and got his first big chunk of snaps for the Wolverines in 2021. He made the most of them, producing a double-digit sack season. His athleticism and rush moves are off the charts. Ojabo needs to improve against the run, but the tools and ceiling are definitely worth it.

8. Atlanta Falcons: George Karlaftis, EDGE, Purdue

With a strong finish, the Atlanta Falcons ended up looking better than many anticipated at midseason. Arthur Smith is building his offense well, and it sounds like Matt Ryan will be back in 2022. It’s hard to imagine quarterback is on the table early in the 2022 NFL Draft, but you never know. Here, in this 2022 NFL Mock Draft, they are the fourth team to roll with an edge rusher.

George Karlaftis is a strong, technical rusher with good flexibility and athleticism for his build. He wins with power, bend, and hand usage and can be a dominant player early in the NFL.
