27. Detroit Lions (via LAR): Treylon Burks, WR, Arkansas

As said before, the Detroit Lions might just bypass quarterback altogether in the 2022 NFL Draft, which isn’t that bad of a call considering how the class looks. Right now, they need to build everything for the next signal-caller, and that includes the wide receiver position.

Treylon Burks falling to this spot is incredible value. Burks is a size/speed nightmare who has incredible body control and grip at the catch point. He thrives in the red zone with his size, and is fantastic after the catch with his speed. Burks has WR1 potential, but he needs to work on his route tree and creating separation with his hands at the top of routes.

28. Dallas Cowboys: Devin Lloyd, LB, Utah

This might seem redundant considering how the Dallas Cowboys attacked the 2021 NFL Draft, but there’s a plan in here somewhere. Micah Parsons can do it all for the Cowboys, from covering in space to rushing the passer. After him, linebacker has questions. Leighton Vander Esch hasn’t been the same as his rookie season, and Jabril Cox has developing to do.

Here, the Cowboys get Utah linebacker Devin Lloyd. Lloyd is another who has the athleticism for coverage and lives in the backfield. He makes plays in every facet of the game and would be great in the Dallas defense next to Parsons to play off of his strengths.
