23. Las Vegas Raiders: Jordan Davis, DT, Georgia

A big congratulations to the Las Vegas Raiders, who navigated an extremely tough season to make the postseason. They could’ve laid down at 6-7, but they rattled off four straight to get it done. While the defense is better, it’s still a unit that needs some work in this 2022 NFL Mock Draft.

They get help in the middle, selecting Georgia’s Jordan Davis. Davis is an excellent run defender with elite size to take on multiple blockers in the middle. He will free up the linebackers to work downhill and make plays. Davis possesses a hot motor and solid lateral movement skills to chase down plays to the perimeter.

24. Arizona Cardinals: Kaiir Elam, CB, Florida

The Arizona Cardinals are a dangerous team in the playoffs, and could really beat anyone left, including themselves. An early exit will bring about an interesting offseason, as Chandler Jones could be on the way out. In this 2022 NFL Mock Draft, defense is the move.

Is Byron Murphy and Marco Wilson enough at corner? It’s unlikely, especially with who is in the division. Getting a player with great size and transitional quickness in Kaiir Elam is nice, and he has the ball skills to boot. He can be a lockdown guy in man coverage early in his career.
