Round 4, 111th Overall: Christopher Hinton, DL, Michigan

The Washington Football Team defensive line is obviously a strength, but there could be some turnover in a couple seasons. Tim Settle is set to hit free agency in 2022, and Da’Ron Payne and Matt Ioannidis are set to follow in 2023.

Christopher Hinton recently declared for the 2022 NFL Draft, and he plays with impressive quickness off the ball and offers some moves as a pass rusher. He’s flown under the radar because of Aidan Hutchinson and David Ojabo, but now that he’s declared, he could be selected higher than previously thought in a weaker class at defensive tackle.

Round 6, 186th Overall: Justin Shaffer, OL, Georgia

Scherff leaving could create a hole at right guard for the Washington Football Team. Although guys like Ereck Flowers and Saadhiq Charles are there to fill the hole, adding another name to the room could make sense. Justin Shaffer is a people-mover at guard and has been an instrumental piece in a very good Georgia running game.

Round 7, 226th Overall: Bo Melton, WR, Rutgers

The wide receiver room for Washington is a good unit, and hopefully Dyami Brown takes a step in 2022. The Curtis Samuel signing hasn’t panned out and the receiver room stands to lose three players via free agency. Bo Melton is a fun slot receiver with good separation quickness and reliable hands.
