Washington Football Team 2022 Mock Draft: Elite Talent Or QB Round 1?
Round 3, 71st Overall: Chad Muma, LB, Wyoming
Expect the linebacker position one that’s addressed with priority this offseason, and the Washington Football Team does it here in this mock draft.
The hope is that Davis continues to develop in terms of his eyes and processing, and subsequently starts to trust those eyes in making plays downhill and in space. The issue is Cole Holcomb shouldn’t really start, and the injuries to Jon Bostic and Khaleke Hudson made the room thinner.
One player who’s seen his 2022 NFL Draft stock rise in the last few weeks is Wyoming linebacker Chad Muma. He’s another player who will be down in Mobile in February and should see his stock go up.
Muma is an extremely instinctual linebacker who makes plays sideline-to-sideline and does a great job in coverage. He can carry running backs and tight ends up the seam when lined up in man coverage and has good eyes in zone. Muma is a strong tackler in space, and also can disrupt throwing windows. There’s a good chance he starts in year one for Washington.
