New York Giants

Of the teams on this list, the New York Giants are probably in the best position if they were forced to stand pat and not make a move. They don’t really have options, but there’s at least an answer. Daniel Jones hasn’t been great, but it could be worse and he’s shown improvement. However, that doesn’t mean he’s the long-term solution.

We’ll start with the fact that Jones might not be to blame here. In Week 17 against the Bears, Mike Glennon was just 4-of-11 for 24 yards and two interceptions. That makes Jones look pretty good in this offense.

The concern with Jones is obviously the turnovers. Like I said, he’s improving but it still isn’t great. This season he fumbled seven times, an improvement from his 19 as a rookie in 2019, on top of throwing seven interceptions. For his three years in New York, Jones has totaled 29 interceptions and 36 fumbles compared to just 50 touchdowns. That’s 50 scores and 65 turnovers.

If the Giants can find a way to upgrade Jones, they should at the very least explore the option. Is there a better option in the 2022 NFL Draft? I don’t know. Is there a better option around the league? Yes, if they are willing to pay the price.
