Carolina Panthers 2022 Mock Draft: Multiple Trades To Acquire Picks

Round 3, 78th Overall: Henry To’o To’o, LB, Alabama

The linebacker room for the Carolina Panthers is one that could look barren next season. The only true linebackers under contract for the 2022 season are Shaq Thompson and Kamal Martin. Martin is a Packers castoff, and Thompson plays a lot in space as a WILL. Finding a MIKE would be great, and the Panthers do here in Henry To’o To’o.

To’o To’o isn’t getting the hype of his Alabama teammate, and his stock is sitting firmly in the day two range. He might not be the fastest or quickest, but his eyes and instincts are sound against the run and in short zones in coverage. He diagnoses things quickly and can make plays behind the line of scrimmage.

Round 3, 92nd Overall: Alec Lindstrom, OL, Boston College

It’s unclear what the plan will be for the Panthers regarding center Matt Paradis, who is set to hit free agency this offseason. Finding stability at center will be huge for a young quarterback, no matter if it’s Darnold or, as in this mock, Howell.

Alec Lindstrom has been a steady player at center for Boston College in his time there. He’s dominant in the run game, where his initial quicks and finishing attitude will fit in anywhere. He’s got strong hands and a strong core in pass protection, and is smart picking up stunts.
