2022 NFL Mock Draft: Three Tackles Go Top Five, Panthers Select QB
21. Miami Dolphins (via SF): Drake London, WR, USC
The Miami Dolphins need help along the offensive line, but with the consensus top five gone, they go a different direction in this 2022 NFL Mock Draft.
Jaylen Waddle is having a great season, but a running mate makes sense. Drake London would be a great complement to Waddle, as he dominates at the catch point, is a smooth mover, and is extremely tough after the catch.
22. New England Patriots: Kaiir Elam, CB, Florida
The Patriots were uncharacteristically bad on defense Sunday, allowing a ton in the passing game to Josh Allen and company. With J.C. Jackson set to hit free agency, finding another stud in the secondary makes sense.
Kaiir Elam has the makings of a shutdown corner. He has the elite size, athleticism, and ball skills to thrive in man coverage. Elam could stand to improve as a tackler, but his cover skills are first round worthy.
23. Philadelphia Eagles (via IND): Roger McCreary, CB, Auburn
The Eagles are another team with cornerback needs, and with the trenches taken care of in this 2022 NFL Mock Draft, corner is where they turn. Roger McCreary doesn’t have the buzz other corners do, but all he’s done is play excellent football in the SEC and lock down opponents week-in and week-out.
24. Arizona Cardinals: Drake Jackson, EDGE, USC
Chandler Jones will likely hit free agency in 2022, leaving the Cardinals with a need on the edge. Drake Jackson is a fantastic athlete with the ability to bend and work around on the outside track, and can drop into coverage if necessary. He needs to work on becoming a three down defender, but his rush moves will land him in the first round.
