9. Washington Football Team: Kenny Pickett, QB, Pitt

The two debacles against Dallas in the last three weeks have proven that Washington needs to find a quarterback, whether it be through free agency or the draft. In this 2022 NFL Mock Draft, quarterback is the direction they go.

Kenny Pickett has been a major riser this season, peaking in his fifth season in college. He has the poise, leadership skills, and accuracy to become a successful NFL quarterback. Pickett also is making more plays out of structure and NFL throws off-platform. He’s got the weapons to thrive in Washington.

10. Atlanta Falcons: Kyle Hamilton, S, Notre Dame

A major fall for Kyle Hamilton ends here at pick 10. The Atlanta Falcons spent a high pick on Richie Grant in 2021, but that shouldn’t stop them here. Atlanta needs playmakers on their defense, and Hamilton is just that.

Hamilton brings elite range, ball skills, and tackling ability to be an impact player from day one. He’s versatile and has the size/speed combo to be a tight end/matchup eraser.

11. Denver Broncos: Andrew Booth Jr., CB, Clemson

The Denver Broncos could definitely go corner once again, especially with Bryce Callahan and Kyle Fuller set to hit free agency. In this 2022 NFL Mock Draft, they select someone Vic Fangio would like in Andrew Booth. Booth’s ball skills are what flashes on tape, but his eye discipline, transitions, and willingness in run support make him a sure fire first rounder.

12. Minnesota Vikings: George Karlaftis, EDGE, Purdue

The Vikings are another team that could blow everything up after the season, including moving on from Kirk Cousins. If things stay the same for one more season, look for edge or corner in the first round. In this 2022 NFL Mock Draft, edge is the play.

George Karlaftis has incredible power and technical skills as a rusher, and has impressive closing speed and athleticism to bend and trim the edge. He’s a force against the run and commands a ton of attention.
