2022 NFL Mock Draft: Aidan Hutchinson Goes First, Four QBs In Round 1
By Evan Bachman
13. New Orleans Saints: Jameson Williams, WR, Alabama
With Michael Thomas out for this season, the Saints have shown they certainly could use some more pass catchers to compliment him.
Jameson Williams is someone who wasn’t on a lot of people’s radars as a potential first round pick, however he has flown up draft boards and now is a favorite to be the first receiver off the board and he is in this 2022 NFL Mock Draft.
This year at Alabama he has looked like perhaps the best receiver in college football as he has game breaking speed and can win on routes at every level of the field. In 13 games he’s recorded 67 receptions for 1,434 yards and 15 touchdowns.
14. Las Vegas Raiders: Andrew Booth Jr., CB, Clemson
With the Raiders being in a division with both Patrick Mahomes and Justin Herbert they need to be strong at cornerback moving forward.
Andrew Booth Jr. is projectable as a corner as he’s got solid size (6-foot-0, 195 pounds), very good length, and good movement skills. Booth Jr. also has some pretty unreal ball skills at the catch point that was showcased on a one-handed interception that he made in 2020.
While Clemson has taken a big step back this season, Booth Jr. is a big part of a defense that is giving up just 15 points per game and should end up a first round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft.
