27. Kansas City Chiefs: Trent McDuffie, CB, Washington

The Chiefs cornerbacks and defense overall have extremely well over the past month and a half or so. However with Mike Hughes and Charvarius Ward being free agents, they may have a need at corner come draft time.

When evaluating corners going from college to the NFL, it’s important that the player has proven to be consistent in coverage and Trent McDuffie has done just that. In all three of his seasons so far, McDuffie has received an 80+ grade on PFF, which is very impressive. He’s also an impressive tackler in space and sticks his nose in to play the run.

28. Arizona Cardinals: Ahmad Gardner, CB, Cincinnati

The Cardinals have one of the most complete teams in the entire league, but an area of weakness is depth at corner behind Byron Murphy. Adding Cincinnati’s Ahmad Gardner who has been arguably the best corner in the country this season would be very good value in this 2022 NFL Mock Draft.

Ahmad Gardner is one of the key players on a Bearcats defense that is one of the nation’s best. He’s really proved himself ever since his freshman year as he’s always been very consistent in coverage never giving up a touchdown and has racked up nine interceptions.
