19. Washington Football Team: Malik Willis, QB, Liberty

The Washington Football Team are definitely in need of a franchise quarterback, so if they have a chance to get Malik Willis or Matt Corral I think they’ll do it.

With a strong start to the season, I actually had Willis going in the top five of a 2022 NFL Mock Draft from about a month ago. Unfortunately, he’s had some struggles the second half of the season as over the last six games he’s thrown six interceptions.

That said, there is still a lot to like about Willis. He has a very good arm as he can make basically any throw on the football field. In fact, according to PFF, 10.7% of his passes have been big time throws, which is the best in college football by a win margin. Willis can also add an extra dimension as a runner as he is fast, elusive, and has good vision. This season he has recorded 86 missed tackles on 83 rush attempts.

The concern with Willis is that his competition level isn’t very high. However we’ve seen many quarterbacks from smaller schools go very high in the draft such as Carson Wentz and Trey Lance, so that shouldn’t stop NFL teams from drafting him.

20. Buffalo Bills: Roger McCreary, CB, Auburn

With Levi Wallace being a free agent next offseason, cornerback should be a priority for the Bills this offseason, especially considering they play in a conference with a lot of good, young quarterbacks.

Roger McCreary is a very complete corner as he’s got good ball skills, movement skills, and is a good tackler. Over his career he’s racked up six interceptions and 29 pass breakups. McCreary’s been consistent over his whole career but his play this season has really solidified him as a first round pick in this year’s draft.  He has a grade from PFF of 89.9, which is the best of any corner in the country.
