The Georgia Bulldogs will be a big part of the 2022 NFL Draft, and many are headed to Mobile for the Senior Bowl.

It’s been a fabulous season for the Georgia Bulldogs so far, and they’ll get a chance to prove that the Alabama loss was an aberration in a couple weeks when the College Football Playoff semifinals begin. The defense was downright vicious all year long, and it’s one that we will remember for a long time.

It’s no secret that their defense, along with others on the Bulldogs, will play a big part in the 2022 NFL Draft. There might be a saying that rolls around the draft world that every team should try to leave the draft with a Georgia defender. The Bulldogs aren’t just a part of the playoff and the draft in April. They’ll be all over the draft process as well, starting at the Senior Bowl, where they will have a number of talented prospects in attendance.

On offense, there are a few to keep an eye on down in Mobile. James Cook is probably the one that jumps out the most. The brother of current NFL star Dalvin Cook, James has thrived in a committee role for the Bulldogs this season, and NFL teams will love the skill set he brings. Cook is a wicked quick running back who is creative in space, packs more power than you’d believe, and is a good route runner and receiver, something that is valued even more nowadays. Offensive linemen Jamaree Salyer and Justin Shaffer are headed down as well. Salyer is a big, strong tackle who plays balanced and has good hands and grip strength.

Devonte Wyatt heads the great group of defenders. While Jordan Davis and sophomore Jalen Carter are both impressive players, Wyatt plays a good brand of football in his own right. He’s a quick, strong pass rushing defensive tackle who can beat interior linemen with his initial quicks, strong hands at contact, and wicked closing speed. Wyatt also has the athleticism to turn and chase when necessary.

Derion Kendrick might be the most talented Bulldogs player down in Mobile. He’s been fantastic this season locking down receivers in the SEC, and could be considered a first-round talent. Off the field is the biggest question with him, and if he can answer that and show strong leadership and be coachable, he could skyrocket up 2022 NFL Draft boards.

Quay Walker and Channing Tindall are both athletic linebackers who can excel in coverage, work to the perimeter to defend the run, and flow downhill to make plays against the run as well. They both fit as WILL linebackers who can operate free of contact at the line of scrimmage and run and chase.

It’s going to be a fun week down in Mobile for the Senior Bowl, and the Georgia Bulldogs will leave their mark this season. There’s a chance plenty of them show out and raise their stock for the 2022 NFL Draft.
