29. Tennessee Titans: Nakobe Dean, LB, Georgia

The Tennessee Titans are the team that could get hot for the stretch run once they have Derrick Henry and A.J. Brown back, but the key for them will be building their defense while the title window is open with Ryan Tannehill leading the offense.

In this 2022 NFL Mock Draft, they add a great talent at the second level of the defense. Nakobe Dean has great instincts in coverage and has great closing speed when asked to blitz.

30. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Trent McDuffie, CB, Washington

With Carlton Davis and several others heading to free agency for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, it will be tougher to keep the band together for another run in 2022. The secondary is the area that needs the most help, and they get it in Trent McDuffie.

McDuffie deserves to be in the first round discussion in the 2022 NFL Draft. His cover skills are excellent, and he’s phenomenal in run support.

31. New England Patriots: Ahmad Gardner, CB, Cincinnati

It’ll be interesting to see how the New England Patriots approach the 2022 NFL Draft, especially if they’re picking this late come April. J.C. Jackson could hit free agency, and while finding a fit will be difficult, Ahmad Gardner would be a nice fit for the Patriots.

His man cover skills aren’t the best, but Gardner can hold his own in off-coverage. He’s physical and has the size to be a matchup eraser along with Kyle Dugger in the secondary, and is someone who will do his job against the run.

32. Green Bay Packers: Jermaine Johnson II, EDGE, Florida State

The Green Bay Packers will have so much to do in the offseason regarding the salary cap. Who will they extend? Who gets the boot? It’ll be a taxing offseason, so much so that the draft will feel like a reprieve.

The Packers definitely look at positional value in round one, and Jermaine Johnson would be a good selection here. He’s developing as a pass rusher, but he’s already dominant against the run. Johnson would form a fun duo opposite Rashan Gary.
