13. New Orleans Saints: Treylon Burks, WR, Arkansas

The run on receivers is about to get going in this 2022 NFL Mock Draft, and the New Orleans Saints are the ones to start it. Michael Thomas should return in 2022, but the rest of the unit is full of role players who aren’t doing enough.

Treylon Burks is a unique receiver with the size and speed to win at the catch point and down the field, and his ability to use that size and his hands to separate quickly makes him dominant in all three phases.

14. Las Vegas Raiders: Jameson Williams, WR, Alabama

The Las Vegas Raiders ended up losing their top deep threat this season, and DeSean Jackson hasn’t done enough for a team that’s been thriving with explosive plays. Luckily, another speedster is available from Alabama.

Jameson Williams transferred from Ohio State, and has dominated this season in the SEC, racking up 1,445 yards and 15 touchdowns in the regular season. His speed makes him dangerous in eating up space and erasing angles after the catch. His route tempo and acceleration skills make him dangerous as a route runner.

15. Pittsburgh Steelers: Ikem Ekwonu, OL, North Carolina State

It’s likely that the Pittsburgh Steelers opt for a veteran rather than take a quarterback in the 2022 NFL Draft. Players like Aaron Rodgers, Russell Wilson, Tyrod Taylor, and Marcus Mariota could all be on the table. The problem is that they need to upgrade the offensive line as well.

Ikem Ekwonu would be a fabulous addition in the middle of the first round. Ekwonu has looked much more fluid and comfortable at tackle this season, but has the demeanor to play on the inside as well. He could give the Steelers flexibility to roll out their best five every week.

16. Denver Broncos: Kenny Pickett, QB, Pittsburgh

Teddy Bridgewater has done enough for the Denver Broncos in 2021 to keep them in the playoff hunt, but he won’t be the guy to elevate a roster to reach the Super Bowl. Kenny Pickett could be that guy. He had an excellent jump in 2021, looking more poised in the pocket and making NFL throws to every level. Pickett would inherit a great group of players on offense.
