Round 5, 166th Overall: Erik Ezukanma, WR, Texas Tech

Another big bodied receiver may seem redundant for the New York Giants, but there’s no reason to stop building up the receiving core, especially here on day three. Yes, the Golladay, Toney, Sterling Shepard trio is good, but why not get more for whoever is under center in 2022.

Erik Ezukanma has plenty of fans in the draft space. He’s a long, tall receiver with a large catch radius and an impressive resume a the catch point. Ezukanma plucks the football well out of the air and is a smooth mover after the catch with impressive toughness.

Round 6, 184th Overall: Markquese Bell, S, Florida A&M

Rounding out this Giants mock draft is more help for the secondary. The Giants have put together a strong unit, and the corner room should be solid moving forward. Xavier McKinney is coming into his own, and Julian Love is still a good role player. However, getting another strong safety into the building makes sense.

Markquese Bell is a talented player from Florida A&M who deserves more buzz. He’s a bigger-bodied safety who has done a great job in 2021 in run support. He fills the alley well downhill, and has the wingspan to make tackles outside his frame. Bell has the speed to fly around and help on perimeter runs and make plays in space.
