30. Green Bay Packers: Kingsley Enagbare, Edge Rusher, South Carolina

Even through all the injuries the Green Bay Packers have dealt with all year, they have still managed to be top the NFC. They are expected to get healthier after their bye week which will only make them more dangerous as a Super Bowl contender.

The theme of this season for the Green Bay Packers is ‘The Last Ride’. The belief is that the Packers will trade Aaron Rodgers after this season regardless of how it ends. There is also a solid chance that Davante Adams will not return to Green Bay after this season. Adams is a free agent after this season. It is unlikely that they would let him leave. If Adams did not wish to return to Green Bay they would likely franchise tag him and trade him to the team of his choice.

Green Bay’s needs could change this offseason. However, as it currently stands the Packers are in need of an edge rusher. Za’Darius Smith has been hurt for most of the season and Preston Smith is looking expensive considering his lack of production. Green Bay’s best pass rusher has been 2019 first-round pick Rashan Gary. The Packers could end up cutting both Za’Darius and Preston Smith this offseason leaving a void opposite Rashan Gary.

The Packers can get a great value drafting South Carolina edge rusher Kingsley Enagbare at the end of the first round. This draft class is loaded at the edge rusher position and the Packers take advantage of the depth at the position in this 2022 NFL Mock Draft. Enagbare has been one of the leaders in the SEC in pressures this season. Adding Enagbare to one of the league’s best defenses could get them playing better than they are this season. This could mean that the Jordan Love-led Packers in 2022 could be reliant on their defense to win their games.
