22. Buffalo Bills: Jahan Dotson, Wide Receiver, Penn State

Even though Buffalo has begun to falter the past few weeks they are still considered the cream of the crop in the AFC. They have an extremely well-rounded roster. Last offseason Buffalo added Emmanuel Sanders to their All-Pro receiving core. They added to what could be the deepest defensive line in the league in the first and second rounds of this past draft. Their biggest weakness is the fact that they cannot run the ball at all. Devin Singletary and Zack Moss have struggled as of late to the point where veteran Matt Breida has gotten some valuable time in Buffalo’s backfield.

This running back class is not deep enough for the Bills to take one in the first round. But they could use their first-round pick to replace one of their larger free-agent additions in Emmanuel Sanders this offseason. Sanders is going to be 35 next season so not only could he leave in free agency, he could even consider retirement. After the first few weeks, the Bills have to realize that their offense needs a legitimate deep threat to play opposite Stefon Diggs. Gabriel Davis could be a candidate to replace Sanders. However, the Bills like to use Davis more in the red zone than as a deep threat.

Penn State wide receiver Jahan Dotson would fit extremely well in this Bills offense opposite Stefon Diggs. Buffalo primarily likes smaller receivers that could stretch the field. Dotson fits the mold that Buffalo likes from their primary receivers perfectly. Similar to former Bills receivers John Brown and current Bull Emmanuel Sanders, Dotson is a big play waiting to happen. By drafting Jahan Dotson in this 2022 NFL Mock Draft, Buffalo gets themselves a young playmaker that could be a vital piece to one of the league’s most dangerous passing attacks for the next half-decade.
