2022 NFL Mock Draft: Edge Rushers Fly Off The Board, 3 QBs In Round 1
By Evan Bachman
9. Atlanta Falcons: Kingsley Enagbare, EDGE, South Carolina
The biggest need for the Atlanta Falcons is building a strong pass rush. Through nine games this season, they’ve only recorded 11 sacks, which is last in the entire NFL. Obviously, finding guys who can pressure the quarterback should be a priority for them this offseason and Kingsley Enagbare can do just that.
Enagbare is so good as a pass rusher because he’s capable of winning in a variety of ways. He can use his strength to just throw offensive linemen out of the way, can use his quickness to bend the edge, and can use quickness with a quick hand slap. His power gives him the ability to set the edge against the run.
Kingsley Enagbare has been dominant rushing the passer over his time at South Carolina and certainly deserves to be a sure fire first round pick and a top ten pick, which he is in this 2022 NFL mock draft. A trip to the Senior Bowl might further prove this theory, where he can face off against more top competition like he did in the SEC. This season Enagbare has pressured the quarterback consistently as he’s recorded 43 pressures in 11 games and has an impressive pass rush grade of 92.2.
