6. New York Jets (via SEA): Kyle Hamilton, S, Notre Dame

With the injury to Russell Wilson, the Seahawks have had some struggles, making this pick from the Jamal Adams trade more valuable. At the present moment, it leaves the Jets with two picks in the top ten in this 2022 NFL mock draft.

The Jets are in a team building spot where they just need to focus on adding as much talent to the roster as possible. On a roster with a lot of holes, drafting the best player available sounds like the best strategy for them and Kyle Hamilton is a consensus top player in this class. He’s the pick in this 2022 NFL Mock Draft.

Hamilton is an intriguing player that every defensive coordinator would love to have on their defense. His primary position is safety but he’s someone who lines up all over the field and makes an impact in a variety of ways.

Hamilton has the physical traits with good speed, height, and length, but what separates him from most safeties are his instincts. He simply just has a nose for the football that most players don’t have. Those exceptional instincts have been on display this season as he’s picked off three passes through seven games.
