25. Pittsburgh Steelers: Sam Howell, QB, North Carolina

Despite a brutal tie to the winless Lions, the Pittsburgh Steelers are still in a good position to reach the postseason. However, one thing was clear from Sunday. Mason Rudolph isn’t the long-term answer, and addressing the position in the offseason will be the top priority.

In this 2022 NFL Mock Draft, they opt for a quarterback. Sam Howell likely hasn’t changed many pre-conceived notions regarding his stock, but he’s still someone who can reignite the deep passing game and extend plays.

26. Baltimore Ravens: Sean Rhyan, OL, UCLA

The Ravens don’t have many needs either, so this 2022 NFL Mock Draft operates under a best player available basis. The offensive line could use a boost, and Sean Rhyan is here for the taking.

Rhyan isn’t viewed as a tackle by everyone in NFL and draft circles, but he will get that opportunity for the Ravens. He’s got impressive hand placement in pass protection, and has the power and angles to positively affect the run game.

27. Detroit Lions (via LAR): Drake London, WR, USC

The Lions will be in the market for a quarterback, but none of the top five are available in this 2022 NFL Mock Draft. Instead, they look to the wide receiver position, which needs serious help.

The Lions select a former teammate of current Lion Amon-Ra St. Brown, Drake London. London’s production was excellent prior to his injury, and he was developing as a route runner, using his size and movement skills to separate quickly and down the field. =

28. Dallas Cowboys: Drake Jackson, EDGE, USC

The Dallas Cowboys are back on track after a rough hiccup against Denver. The defense is still playing very well, but it’s likely, statistically speaking, that the unit regresses to the mean. They need help getting after the quarterback.

When DeMarcus Lawrence returns, Drake Jackson could be a great partner on the edge. Jackson has the athletic tools to succeed. He just needs more coaching and development to reach that ceiling as a pass rusher in the NFL.
