13. Minnesota Vikings: Carson Strong, QB, Nevada

Perhaps another big shocker in this 2022 NFL Mock Draft. The Vikings got back on the right track Sunday, but if they falter down the stretch, it could be swooping changes within the organization.

They might not commit to Kirk Cousins or Kellen Mond long-term, so selecting a quarterback could be on the table. General manager Rick Spielman has seen Carson Strong live, and he could be the quarterback to unlock some more explosiveness into the offense. He’s got a great deep ball, good pre-snap recognition, and pocket maneuverability.

14. Denver Broncos: Kenny Pickett, QB, Pittsburgh

The Denver Broncos likely don’t have the answer at quarterback on the roster, and it’s a unit good enough to contend if the right guy is in place. They could dip their toes in the 2022 NFL Draft quarterback market, and they do so here.

Kenny Pickett has enjoyed the biggest rise of any of the quarterbacks in this class. His command of the offense is much better, and he’s playing efficient football while also taking shots downfield with good placement. He’s making more NFL throws this season and has improved poise in the pocket.

15. Philadelphia Eagles (via IND): DeMarvin Leal, DL, Texas A&M

The Eagles have the dream scenario in this 2022 NFL Mock Draft in regards to reloading their defense. After getting Hutchinson and Booth, they add another piece to the defense in DeMarvin Leal.

Leal has impressive movement skills for a player listed at 290 pounds. He plays all over the defensive line, and could get some snaps at 2i and three technique in this Eagles defense. He would pair nicely next to Javon Hargrave and be a great run stuffer while he improves as a pass rusher.

16. Cleveland Browns: Garrett Wilson, WR, Ohio State

With Odell Beckham out, another talented receiver comes in. The Browns could use more than Donovan Peoples-Jones and Anthony Schwartz, and Jarvis Landry isn’t getting any younger.

Garrett Wilson is as well-rounded a receiver prospect as any in the draft. He’s a phenomenal route runner with great separation skills. He can make defenders miss in space after the catch and has great ball skills to adjust and attack the catch point.
