Defensive Line/Linebackers

EDGE: Azeez Ojulari, Giants

He’s got 5.5 sacks on the season, and Azeez Ojulari has been a big part of the success of this Giants defense lately. He’s been fantastic working around the arc and can soften the edge well with his hands. The chance for a double digit sack season is well within reach.

EDGE: Kwity Paye, Colts

It was hard to pick a second edge defenders, as Odafe Oweh, Gregory Rousseau, and Jaelan Phillips have all looked good. However, Kwity Paye looks excellent in both phases of the game. He isn’t generating much production because he’s asked to contain so much on the edge, but the pressures have been there lately. Get ready for a second half breakout.

Defensive Tackle: Christian Barmore, Patriots

Christian Barmore has definitely benefitted from the scheme of the Patriots in terms of him generating pressure this season, but he’s flashed the ability to quickly shed blocks and make plays against the run when it comes his way. In a weaker class, he’s played well.

Defensive Tackle: Osa Odighizuwa, Cowboys

Osa Odighizuwa has cooled off in recent weeks, but he’s still offering the Cowboys some relief on a unit that’s struggled without DeMarcus Lawrence. His quickness and twitch on the interior, along with his great pad level, has stood out.

Linebacker: Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, Browns

He’s been a regular on the NFL Rookie Rankings here, and it was easy to have Owusu-Koramoah get a spot. His snap percentage only went up prior to injury, and he’s been a great run and chase linebacker to the perimeter and is filling well against the run by getting around and dipping under would-be blockers.

Linebacker: Micah Parsons, Cowboys

He’s been successful off the ball and on the edge, and Micah Parsons is everything this Cowboys defense could’ve asked for to this point. He’s going to anchor that defense for quite some time.
