2022 NFL Draft Big Board: Top 100 Features Defensive Prospects Rising
61. Jordan Battle, S, Alabama
Jordan Battle has improved this season for the Crimson Tide, as he’s had some games where he’s made plays on the back end. Battle is a hard-hitting, great tackling safety with range to the perimeter and has flashed the ball skills.
62. Jahleel Billingsley, TE, Alabama
Jahleel Billingsley has fallen a bit on this 2022 NFL Draft Big Board just based on the lack of an expected breakout. He’s still an athletic player capable of separating and creating after the catch. It’ll be interesting to see if he declares.
63. Arnold Ebiketie, EDGE, Penn State
Arnold Ebiketie’s transfer to Penn State has definitely paid off, as he’s been productive in Big Ten games this season. He’s got the athleticism to win with an inside move and get tackles to overcommit outside. Ebiketie gave Petit-Frere some serious trouble a couple weeks ago.
64. Jermaine Johnson, EDGE, Florida State
It’s been a breakout season for the former Bulldogs edge rusher, as he has 10.5 tackles for loss and 7.5 sacks in nine games. He’s got a wicked spin move and the flexibility to flatten his angle to the quarterback.
65. Devonte Wyatt, DL, Georgia
Devonte Wyatt is underrated in this 2022 NFL Draft class only because he plays with other elite talents, including sophomore Jalen Carter. Wyatt is a pocket pusher, and creating interior pressure continues to be a winning formula in the NFL.
66. Henry To’o To’o, LB, Alabama
The linebacker position in the 2022 NFL Draft isn’t the best, but Henry To’o To’o offers some good processing skills and could become a future MIKE linebacker. He’s around the ball to make plays but needs to continue to play well to be an early pick.
67. Verone McKinley III, S, Oregon
Verone McKinley III does it all for the Oregon defense. His recognition skills are impressive, and that’s huge for someone who doesn’t possess the elite range and speed. He’s versatile and can move around a defense.
68. Nolan Smith, EDGE, Georgia
Injuries have prevented Nolan Smith from hitting his stride until this season. He’s a flexible speed rusher who can bend the edge at will.
69. Christian Harris, LB, Alabama
The athleticism and tools are there with Christian Harris, which could warrant a high pick in the 2022 NFL Draft. He needs to work on his keys and processing when working downhill, but there’s definitely upside here.
70. George Pickens, WR, Georgia
Will George Pickens declare for the 2022 NFL Draft? It’s hard to say, but there’s definitely WR1 potential with his quickness, speed, and large catch radius. He can win vertically at will.
