Georgia. player. 54. Scouting Report. OL. Jamaree Salyer. 5. Pick Analysis

Round 5, 148th Overall: Jamaree Salyer, OL, Georgia

Jamaree Salyer has a lot to like about him, especially as a day three pick. He’s capable of playing multiple positions across the offensive line as he’s recorded snaps at every single position across the offensive line for Georgia. Salyer has been excellent this season as he’s taken almost all of his snaps at left tackle and has allowed just one pressure and no sacks.

Scouting Report. Edge. Ali Gaye. 54. Pick Analysis. LSU. 5. player

Round 5, 150th Overall: Ali Gaye, EDGE, LSU

With Derek Barnett, Genard Avery, and Ryan Kerrigan all being free agents, it’s a good idea for the Philadelphia Eagles to add an edge rusher later in the draft to build some depth.

He’s got a large frame at 6-foot-6, 250 pounds and he wins with his strength and power. At LSU, he has proven himself as a pass rusher as last season he registered 38 pressures and so far this season has 20 pressures. He has been inconsistent in other areas that he’ll need to get better at, but ultimately if you can get to the quarterback, you’re very valuable in this league.

player. 54. Virginia. Olusegun Oluwatimi. C. 5. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis

Round 5, 174th Overall: Olusegun Oluwatimi, C, Virginia

Olusegun Oluwatimi is a key piece to Virginia’s offense, which is one of the best offenses in the country, averaging 545.2 yards per game, which is second in college football. Oluwatimi is consistent as a pass protector and a run blocker and would make for a good day three selection for the Philadelphia Eagles.

Pick Analysis. LB. Florida State. 6. player. Scouting Report. Amari Gainer. 54

Round 6, 187th Overall: Amari Gainer, LB, Florida State

At this point in the draft, it’s all about adding depth and finding players who can add value as backups.  Amari Gainer provides value in his versatility, last year he played over half his snaps from the slot, while this year thus far he is lining up on the edge as a defensive lineman and in the box as a linebacker much more often.

He also simply has the level of athleticism necessary to make a roster at the next level as well, he isn’t freakishly athletic by any means, but he does have a solid speed and strength.
